To a chinese Friend

Your old masters said;

The whole universe, infinite, vibrate within you;

The hundred school of thought,

The methods of government, war, and diplomacy;

the School of Law.

Taoism; seeking experimenting with the self and adapting it to the rhythm of nature.

Confucian and Taoist shifting with the music of nature.

Mohism and the idea of universal love

The Burning of the books and burial of the scholars by the first emperador

The suppression of freedom of speech (to be invented later prints) .

The infinite wall

The Wu Xing or the Five Movements;

Wood, fire, earth, metal, water; all are made of yin and yang in precise amounts.

That secret pentagon that time and his cycles have drawn

The structure of the cosmos; Mirrored in five phases:

Can you see the magic Flower?

There is a delicate Balance in the intricate movement of fire.

Geomancy

Oracle bones

Sun Tzu's and his Art of War,

The Chinese characters

I Chin and his cryptic hexagram, with a symbolic system used to perceive order in chaotic events,

The mythical Fu xi and the yellow river,

The feng shuim, the magic compass and the harmonic course of life-energy

The early instrument;

The Chinese astronomy and astrology,

The traditional Chinise medicine and music,

Military strategy and martial arts.

The magnetic river going through nature and mind

The powerful wizard from Magreb that in the book of one hundred and one night, arrive to China because he knows that there he can find the only one able to exhume the magic lamp, Aladin, and see the smoke become a genius as tall as the sky,

The world is made of correspondences, feels the wizard,

It is full of magical mirror where the small things are the key of the biggest.

In the Chinese calendar;

The sun is like fire

the moon like water.

The fire gives out light and the water reflects it

The armillary sphere and the music that sacred energy strike.

Laozi; author of the (Tao Te Ching)

The fire, the swords, the Dragons and Tigers.

The forgotten memory.

The secret mind.

All those things and thought had to be,

They had to be propitious to carry, in the course of time, your soul

Can you polish your mysterious mirror?

Let´s hear the echoes of your old master.

I ching- thought- in the dynamic balance of opposites;

The evolution of events as a process, and acceptance of the inevitability of change

Chuang-Tzu dreamed he was a butterfly and when He woke up he didn't know if he was Zhuangzi who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Zhuangzi.

Laozi -said- The name that can be named is not the real Name;

Free from desire, you experience reality; Trapped in desire, you see only appearances.

Fu Hsuan, thought, Riches and honour are the handmaids of disaster

Takakusu, wrote, stop talking, stop thinking, and there is nothing you will not understand, pursue the light, and you will lose its source.

All are singing as moving music

They are dancing in the play of light and shadows, time and eternity

Heavy is the foundation of light.

Stillness is the source of movement. That is tao

They are talking, You can know the whole world without going out the door,

They are saying in secret tone;

Come into life, go into death.

Before you was born out of your mother, generations, thoughts, and an infinite civilization guided you,

Now you are visible,

in your place you stand with your robust soul.

and through your body, flows the universe.

Yesterday I went bird hunting together with Dennis Rademaker whom I met a month ago at the Veluwe.

Luck was on our side when we started off at the Oostvaardersplassen, a Nature Reserve in the centre of Holland. Upon arrival we were greeted by the most co-operative Buzzard I've ever met! Totally at ease and undisturbed, he even caught 3 mice while we were standing right next to him!

Next we got tipped off on the location of a Tawny Owl up north in the Netherlands and went looking for it. Guess it was a pretty wild idea to go driving 100 miles just on a vague description, but the fact that you are now looking at it, obviously means we found it :-)
Ended the day at the Veluwe to see the Red Deer, which completed a fantastic day.

here is the flower after it had droped its petals of the pitcher plant that i posted yesterday . alot of people think that the pitcher is the flower, yet that is just for the plant to get it nutrients from digested insects.
the flowers are for pollenation, mostly by bees.

what a beautiful way to lure some lunch from the swampy forest....once a unsuspecting insect goes inside to look for pollen,which is not there, or try and get a drink, it usally never comes out again...instead it slowly gets digested and feed this carnivorous beauty..........
what a way to go.....

Vang Vieng is a town in Laos, located in Vientiane Province. The population is around 25,000. The market is located five kilometers north of the town selling Lao textiles, household items and several stalls selling dubious foodstuffs. It is possible for stalls to sell bats, squirrels, monkeys, rats, mice and other animals as food. The real attractions of the area of Vang Vieng are the sceneries, steer limestone cliffs, rice paddies, cascading rivers and the numerous caves and caverns.

This photo was taken on the rooftop of a hotel next to our Ban Sabai bungalows. The building with the thatched roof is the Xayoh Riverside Café. A place where we spend our all our breakfasts. Such a lovely way to start the day. A beautiful view of the mist covered limestone mountains and watch laughing children play in the river.

Xieng Khuan is a Buddha park located 25 km southeast from Vientiane, Laos in a meadow by the Mekong River. It may be referred to as Wat Xieng Khuan The name Xieng Khuan means Spirit City. The park was built by Luang Pu (Venerable Grandfather) Bunleua Sulilat. Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat was a priest-shaman who integrated Hinduism and Buddhism. At the top, there is a vantage point where the entire park is visible. An enormous 40 m high reclining Buddha, is also a park attraction. The reclining posture may represent the Buddha resting or sleeping, but more usually represents the mahāparinabbāna: the Buddha's final state of enlightenment before his death.

Their lifestyle is shaped so as to support their spiritual practice, to live a simple and meditative life. Photo taken at Buddha Park, also known as Wat Xieng Khuan 25 km southeast from Vientiane. Buddhist monks passing the enormous reclining Buddha; the Buddha's final state of enlightenment.

Men hangt het zogenaamde Teravada-boeddhisme.

for ever image of Eva holding her son´s breath

the eternal virgen

She crys,
She talks in secret
She stands alone
along the marble of the graves
she hears in the silence the murmuring dreams
of person for long time gone
Grey and white the virgen for ever cry
in an instant the lady dreams she is dead
she is eternal and the dead person she is
A book that for ever reads and writes
and are the letters of time, the letter of dreams
the silent letter of times , the murmuring letter of a sunrise
towering and divergencing beams
standing leaves
up and down
electric waves
glassy sounds are its blades
and up and down vibrates
upon eternity town she waits

A realm of colors through these feathers

Isn't nature so wondeful, so many colors that nature provides that appears in beautiful contrast. A macro shot of a peacock feather captured at my home

LUSINE

J

eff McIlwain has been producing his visceral, melodic strain of abstract electronic music as Lusine for 10 years now. Originally a Texas native, Jeff attended CalArts in 1998, studying 20th-century electronic music and sound design for music and film. Soon after, he met Shad Scott and put out his self-titled debut as Lusine for Isophlux. Since then, McIlwain relocated to Seattle and began steadily releasing his music on Ghostly International (home to 2004’s landmark Serial Hodgepodge as well as its successful followup remix album Podgelism), Hymen, and U-Cover. McIlwain has also contributed tracks to various compilations and remix releases on Mute, !K7, Kompakt, Asthmatic Kitty, and Shitkatapult. His Language Barrier full-length on Hymen Records

was something of a departure, as McIlwain focused less on jagged rhythmic detail and more on the layers of ambience that lay beneath the percussion of his previous releases.

McIlwain has performed throughout the US and abroad, including a set at London’s esteemed Fabric nightclub, and an ambient multimedia performance at Seattle’s Triple Door in which he collaborated with video artist Scott Sunn. McIlwain has recently been involved in two film projects, co-scoring David Gordon Green’s 2008 film Snow Angels (with Kate Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell), and scoring Kevin Bray’s 2009 film Linewatch (with Cuba Gooding Jr. and Omari Hardwick). McIlwain’s much-anticipated latest album, A Certain Distance, will be released on Ghostly International in 2009.
